As we age our skin becomes less firm and plump and gravity takes its toll causing wrinkles and sagging. Ageing of the neck is often described as a "turkey neck" because of the saggy skin. The skin on the neck can also become crepey and wrinkled.
A turkey neck is caused when the skin on the neck becomes lose and saggy as a result of the ageing process. The skin tends to be drier and thinner and more fragile on the neck so prone to ageing faster.
Both men and women will see ageing on the skin of the neck but the "turkey neck" is more associated with women and neck ageing appears to be more of a concern for women over 40.
