What can you expect from this treatment?
One of few treatments that can be programmed to reach the superficial musculoaponeurotic system (or SMAS) layer – previously only accessible via surgery – HIFU precisely delivers targeted, fractional heat at 65-80 degrees to the target area. Not only does this contract the deep SMAS layer to help lift the skin, but it also boosts production of strong, new collagen fibres and reinvigorates dormant collagen, for plump, tight and lifted skin that starts way beneath the surface.
Additionally it can also treat the dermis and epidermis to give comprehensive skin tightening throughout all the layers of the skin and surrounding tissue. It is this multi layer tightening that lends the name non-surgical face lift.
What’s the downtime?
Expect virtually no downtime – occasionally some slight redness will occur, but it will be mild and temporary. Also there can be some slight muscle ache type sensations which go within a few days. Since collagen production increases up to twelve weeks post-treatment, expect to see true results then, up to three treatments carried out over 4-12 weeks is recommended for ultimate results however some are happy after just one session.
